Motorcycle and car collision causes one injury

A motorcycle accident on Highway 57 in Brown County ended in one person being sent to the hospital.

According to Brown County authorities, the accident occurred when a motorcycle and car collided for  unknown reasons.

The woman driving the car was uninjured in the crash, but the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries. The driver of the car was arrested for alleged drunk driving. All lanes in the highway were closed as a result of the accident.

Police seek for identity of woman killed in pedestrian accident

A pedestrian accident in Milwaukee on Saturday night resulted in the death of one man.

According to Milwaukee state police, the accident occurred as a 30-year-old man was crossing Green Bay Avenue and he was struck by a car traveling southbound.

The 19-year-old driver stayed at the scene to help with the investigation. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, but he was later pronounced dead.

Man injured in Mishicot rollover accident

According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department, a 66-year-old man was injured in a rollover accident in Mishicot.

The accident occurred on Wisconsin 310 at Woodland Drive when the man was traveling eastbound down the roadway when he was struck by a car that was traveling northbound on Woodland.

The collision caused the man’s car to spin out of control and overturn. The 66-year-old man was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. Two fire departments were called to the scene in order to clear the area.

Sun Prairie man charged with 6th drunk driving offense

A Sun Prairie man has been arrested for his 6th OWI charge after he was pulled over on Wisconsin 26 for driving suspiciously.

According to reports, deputies saw the man stop at a “stop ahead” sign instead of at an actual stop sign. The man then attempted to turn left at an intersection on Wisconsin 26 where you could only turn right. Once police pulled the man over they conducted a field sobriety test.

After showing signs of impairment, he was arrested and taken into Dodge County Detention Center. His blood alcohol content was then tested and was found to be a .199. This is ten times the legal limit of .02 that is allowed for a person with five previous drunk driving charges.

Wrong-way driver on I-43 arrested for driving recklessly

A 45-year-old man was arrested after he was found driving the wrong way down Interstate 45.

A county sheriff witnessed the man traveling northbound in the southbound lanes for almost five miles. He almost collided head-on with another motorist, but the other vehicle swerved left to avoid the collision.

This caused the driver to crash into the median. The officer had to jump a median in order to get the man to stop. After he was pulled over, he was taken to the correctional facility for his sobriety test because a translator was needed. His blood alcohol content was later found to be 0.25, which is over the legal driving limit. He was charged with reckless endangering and operating while intoxicated.

Milwaukee woman follows drunk driver

A Milwaukee woman continued following  a drunk driver, risking her life, after she saw him almost hit a median and then swerve across several lanes before he hit a guardrail on Highway 45.

For 20 minutes, she chased the 42 year-old drunk driver while on the phone with police. This marked the man’s fifth drunk driving offense. At one point the woman attempted to block the driver, but he managed to get around her.  The man jumped curbs, almost hit a pedestrian, and went nearly 80 mph before he crashed into a gas station.

When police apprehended the driver, the man was unable to stand or form complete sentences. He refused a breath test and blood tests later showed his blood alcohol level was 0.196.

Wisconsin man killed in motorcycle and deer collision

A man was killed after being involved in a motorcycle accident after the vehicle struck a deer on the roadway.

The collision caused the motorcycle to skid across the roadway and partially threw both the driver and the passenger off of the bicycle.

The 51-year-old driver was pronounced dead the day after. The 13-year-old passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the accident. Deputies are currently investigating the accident at this time.

Rollover accident on I-94 claims one life

A 4th of July rollover accident took the life of one woman and police continue to investigate the cause of the tragic crash.

Wisconsin State Patrol announced that the woman was heading eastbound on Interstate 94 when she somehow lost control of the vehicle and it flipped and rolled over.

The woman was wearing her seat belt when emergency crews arrived at the scene. She was then transported to Mayo Health Systems Centers where she was later pronounced dead.

Motorcyclist clocked at 105 mph, charged with OWI and speeding

A 31-year-old man from Oak Creek was pulled over by Wisconsin State Patrol after being clocked at traveling 105 mph on Interstate 94.

The man was going nearly 50 mph over the speed limit when police pulled him over. It was stated that he showed signs of being intoxicated like having glassy eyes and smelling of alcohol.

The man was charged with speeding and an OWI. Police later discovered that this was the man’s fifth OWI offense.

Man hits gas meter on home, causes gas leak

A man has been charged after striking the gas meter on the side of a home and causing a minor leak that resulted in two city blocks being evacuated.

The car the man was driving was previously reported stolen by his stepmom before the accident occurred. The 19-year-old driver is on probation and was on a no-contact order for the home that he struck.

Witnesses to the accident said that he showed signs of being intoxicated. He was charged with reckless driving, endangering safety and disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle.
