A UW-Madison student was killed in a car crash on New Year’s Eve.
Police are alleging that an 18-year-old stole an SUV, then ran a red light. After running the red light the driver slammed the SUV into the car the student was riding in. The student was scheduled to graduate in May. The UW- Madison community went to the memorial to honor the bright student’s life.

Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties have combined 11 agencies for a drunk driving task force. They arrested 55 within a 24-hour period.
One woman, among the 55 arrested, drover her car into the lake. She registered a 0.11 on a Breathalyzer. The woman and her passenger were able to escape from the car as it was partially submerged in the lake. No one in the car suffered serious injury.

A 17-year-old boy was killed about a half mile from his home in the town of Herman, Wisconsin in a one-vehicle accident.
According to the sheriff’s department, the boy was driving on Woodland Road when his car entered a ditch and his truck flipped and landed on its roof. The sheriff’s department is investigating the accident but think that the speed that the boy was going was a contributing factor of the wreck.

An 18-year-old girl was sent to the hospital Saturday following an injury caused by an accident involving a deer.
The girl was driving her 1997 Pontiac Sunfire in the left-hand lane of I-35 at 11:30 pm on Saturday when the accident occurred. A man driving a 1994 Honda Accord was driving on the right-hand side of the road when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The Accord plowed into the front of the Sunfire, sending both cars pinwheeling into a median strip. The girl was sent to the hospital to be treated. The man was uninjured.

A three-year-old Wisconsin boy died last Friday as the result of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident. The accident occurred near Clintonville, in central Wisconsin.
The accident occurred at about 4:00 in the afternoon last Friday, when an ATV rolled over on top of the child, crushing him underneath. Little else is known about the accident, which is being investigated by the Waupaca County sheriff’s department.
