Milwaukee police car involved in accident

A police car was rear-ended by an SUV as police responded to a call on August 6.

Police were responding to a report that a suspect was stealing tires from a car when they arrived and saw him in action. They approached the man, but he ran off and got into an SUV.

The man than drove the SUV into the squad car and continued to drive off. One police officer was injured in the accident, a 28-year-old officer who is a 6-year veteran of the force. The officer is currently recovering  from the injuries received in the accident. Police are still searching for the man and the SUV from the accident.

Two killed in possible racing accident in Milwaukee

Officials are investigating a car accident that killed two people. Officials believe that two vehicles collided while racing on Milwaukee’s northside.

After the two vehicles collided, the impact caused one car to crash  into a tree. The driver and passenger in this vehicle were killed. A witness told police that the second vehicle sped off after the collision before the witness could get a good look at the car. The 28-year-old driver of the Ford Crown Victoria and the 17-year-old passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Firefighter injured in hit-and-run accident

A man was recently charged with reckless endangering after injuring a firefighter in a hit-and-run accident.

The firefighter was assisting a car accident in Milwaukee when a 37-year-old man drove around stopped cars and under the intersection. The firefighter signaled him to stop when the 37-year-old allegedly sped up into the firefighter. The firefighter’s knee and wrist were injured.
