Eric J. Ryberg
Mr. Ryberg is a shareholder in the firm and practices in the Madison office. He was born and raised in Wisconsin. He is a graduate of Regis High School in Eau Claire. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Political Science from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, graduating summa cum laude.
Mr. Ryberg received his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating Order of the Coif, cum laude, and in the top 15% of his class. He received the Abner Brodie Award for outstanding achievement in legal study and practical application of law. In law school, Mr. Ryberg was Managing Editor, Senior Administrative Editor, and Malt & Barley Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review. He also served as the Mock Trial President and was a regional semifinalist in a national competition.
Mr. Ryberg has successfully tried personal injury cases in Dane, Rock, Sauk, Waukesha and Dunn Counties. He is admitted to practice before the State of Wisconsin and the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. Mr. Ryberg is currently serving as Secretary of the Dane County Bar Association. He is also a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, American Bar Association, Wisconsin Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He teaches trial advocacy and is a mock trial coach at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
In 2011, Mr. Ryberg was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of the twenty-five up and coming lawyers in the state. He has been selected as a Rising Star in the Wisconsin Super Lawyers publication by Milwaukee Magazine in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Mr. Ryberg was also named to the 2013 Super Lawyers list.
When Mr. Ryberg isn’t practicing litigation you can find him playing tennis, golfing and cheering on the Badgers. He resides in Fitchburg with his wife Nikki and their two boys.
