Fatal crash takes life of UW student

Wisconsin State Patrol and the Madison Police Department are currently investigating a car accident that took the life of a 21-year-old UW student on Sunday.

As officials work to reconstruct the accident they have found that the man was experiencing car troubles and drove his car to the far right lane of traffic on E. Johnson Street.

A 19-year-old woman was also driving in the right lane of traffic when the car in front of her quickly changed lanes to avoid the stopped car in the roadway. This left no time for the woman to react to the situation and she crashed into the back of the vehicle. The 21-year-old man was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Car accidents can cause serious injury and change the lives of many, our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
