Texting while driving banned in Wisconsin

Starting December 1, a new law will go into effect that will make it illegal to text and drive in Wisconsin.

The new law will be considered a primary defense which means that the driver does not need to be committing any other driving offense for police to be able to pull them over if they are obviously texting. In 2008, nearly 6,000 deaths in car accidents were linked to cell phone distraction.

If you or a loved one has been injured in an accident with a reckless or distracted driver, contact the Milwaukee reckless driving lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, by calling 800-242-2874 today.
