Wisconsin trooper hit while directing traffic

A Wisconsin State trooper was struck by car while trying to direct traffic on Interstate 43.

The accident occurred as a 47-year-old woman was driving down the roadway and lost control of the car. She then struck the trooper who was trying to direct traffic from another accident where a pickup truck rolled over.

The woman driver and her two children that were in the vehicle were uninjured, but the man was taken to the hospital to be treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Southbound I-43 was closed after the two accidents.

Car accidents can happen to unexpectedly, especially whenever the weather conditions make the roadway slippery. Our thoughts are with the trooper as he recovers.
