Wrong-way driver on I-43 arrested for driving recklessly

A 45-year-old man was arrested after he was found driving the wrong way down Interstate 45.

A county sheriff witnessed the man traveling northbound in the southbound lanes for almost five miles. He almost collided head-on with another motorist, but the other vehicle swerved left to avoid the collision.

This caused the driver to crash into the median. The officer had to jump a median in order to get the man to stop. After he was pulled over, he was taken to the correctional facility for his sobriety test because a translator was needed. His blood alcohol content was later found to be 0.25, which is over the legal driving limit. He was charged with reckless endangering and operating while intoxicated.
