Man arrested for fifth OWI after car accident

A 54-year-old Sheboygan man was arrested after a car accident occurred in the town of Wilson on Saturday afternoon.

According to the County’s sheriff’s department, the accident occurred as the man approached a stop sign and rear-ended a Toyota Prius that was stopped at the sign.

The driver of the Prius was transported by ambulance to the hospital as a result of the accident. Officials have said that his injuries seem to be non-life threatening. The 54-year-old man was arrested by Wisconsin State Patrol for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, his fifth drunk driving offense.
