Woman sentenced to jail after reckless driving accident

A 28-year-old woman was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined nearly $900 after an accident that left her friend with a skull damage.

The woman plead no contest to the reckless driving charges that occurred from an incident that began on Sept. 9 in Forestville. According to police officials, the incident occurred when the 19-year-old friend was on the hood of the car and the 28-year-old began to pull the car out of the garage slowly as a joke.

As the 19-year-old jumped on the hood of the car, the driver slammed on the brakes and the jolt caused her to fall and hit her head. The 19-year-old stated that the accident was her fault and plead to the jury for them to go easy on the driver.
