76,200 BMW vehicles with brake issues recalled

Thousands of BMW vehicles with potential brake issues were voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer, a report from USA Today confirmed on Tuesday, October 1.

The recall affects 76,200 SUVs, sedans, and sports cars with 2-liter, 4-cylinder gas engines, which may lose the power braking if the oil supply is interrupted. According to the German automaker, the 2012-2014 models of Series 1, 3, and 5 sedans, X1 and X3 SUVs, and the Z4 sports car are affected by the recall. Though the recalled vehicles can still be stopped without the power brake, more than the normal amount of pressure will be required to step on the brake pedal and bring the vehicle to a stop.

BMW owners who are affected by the recall are advised to have their vehicles pulled by a tow truck.

Sadly, a lot of people in America sustain serious injuries in accidents caused by auto defects.
