NFL athlete charged with DUI

Minnesota Vikings linebacker, Erin Henderson, 27, was arrested on January 1 for driving under the influence.

The arrest happened after Henderson veered off of the road and crashed his car into some trees. Fortunately no one, including Henderson, was injured in the crash. Upon being questioned by Carver County police, Henderson refused to take a field sobriety test.

Officers arrested Henderson and charged him with driving under the influence, a drivers license violation, refusal of a field sobriety test, among other charges. He was later released on a $12,000 bond. He will appear in court on March 3.

Driving under the influence causes thousands of injuries, sometimes fatal, each year.
