Oversight Committee orders GM to release stronger recall warnings

On March 27, a Senator wrote at letter to the CEO of General Motors (GM) strongly suggesting that more aggressive warnings should be made to consumers about the recalled GM vehicles.

Senator Richard Blumenthal wrote to GM CEO, Mary Barra saying that consumers who own recalled GM vehicles should be notified about the dangers of operating the vehicle as soon as possible.

The specific recall that Blumenthal talked about in the letter regards vehicles with defective ignition switches. This defect could affect the power source and safety features of the vehicle. The recalled vehicles have been linked to 12 fatalities.

If you have been hurt by a defective vehicle, you should not be responsible for covering expenses related to your injuries. The attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, advocate for Milwaukee injury victims. Call our offices at 800-242-2874 to learn more about how we could help you.
